Your story confused me a little. It's pretty good, but I just can't imagine an 8 year old thinking that. Seems a little too advanced. Unless she's incredibly smart. And when Violet said that "her silky brown hair waved" I just think it's a little bit too much. Imagine yourself as a 8 year old girl, or you can look around at other girls and see how they act (I'm not asking you to stalk them lol. Just go to a park) otherwise this is good.
