Atheists: Why can't you see that natural selection is a monkey's paw?

This is the way of nature -- inefficient. Why would fish produce fertilized eggs in the thousands just to maintain a relatively steady population. A slight net advantage is going to propagate. You know that extinction is the rule not the exception. You showed the trap; you showed the escape mechanism. The survivors found the escape. You cannot refute them by confirming them.
