Hi my name is aymon and iwould like to know how to measure the softness of a rear air shock for a bicicle?

I bought a bike last year and i would like to upgrade the rear shock to anything cheap, and very soft. i was thinking of buying an air shock but they dont tell you how soft they are. any answers would be helpfull.
