Telephone breakups.............?

Why do people thinks its actually ok to break up over telephone? I mean i was in a serious relationship with my ex who broke up with me via phone and i argued with her about it and she genuinly thought there was no problem with it. She just woke up one day, called and said shes not happy, im too possessive and controlling. Never talked communicated her problem... nothing... Hid being a phone said it was all my fault... Hung up and single. I hear now she is married to someone else with a kid... How does someone like this grt married? So selfish and cowardice... Thats my view anyway
